Shirui Lily Festival 2022 will be held from May 25 to 28, 2022 at Ukhrul.
After a gap of two years due to Covid-19, Manipur Govt has decided to celebrate the 4th edition of Shirui Lily Festival this year.
Reliable sources said that, ShiRock, a musical entertainment component of the festival, will be organized as usual. Unlike the previous years, however, the 2022 edition of the music festival will not see the performances of any international bands. The reason for this is said to be the re-emergence of Covid-19 outbreak in different parts of the world.
For a change, local artists, bands, cultural troupes, and performers from the state and other Northeastern states would be invited to take part in the entertainment events, the source said.
The inaugural function would be held at Shirui village and the closing ceremony at Bakshi ground. All other festivities will take place, as usual, informed the source.
