According to officials, on May 19, notes amounting to Rs 29.48 lakh were deposited inside the ATM by a private security company but after that, the ATM went out of service from May 20.
Following this, on June 11 the company opened the ATM for maintenance but they found that cash amounting to Rs 12.38 lakh were completely destroyed. These notes were in Rs 500 and Rs 2000 currency notes.
